At Darpana Wellness, we offer compassionate counseling and emotional wellness services for both students and adults. We help students balance academic pressures with personal growth, and support adults through stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges.

Nandini Shivakumar, a seasoned and certified counselor, has expertise in offering counseling assistance to individuals of all ages who struggle with low self-esteem, transforming negative thought patterns, conquering learning challenges, development issues, and utilizing positive psychology techniques to guide her clients towards resolution of their issues. Her methodology entails attentively listening to students and comprehending their emotional well-being and familial dynamics.
Registered with the Counsellors Council of India, she is a Counseling Professional holding a Master’s Degree in Psychology. Being a Certified Life Coach, she specializes in helping clients approach life with a positive mindset. Through the utilization of Positive Psychology and the optimal utilization of the client’s strengths, she guides them towards a positive life, emphasizing the mantra

Starting therapy is a meaningful first step, and we understand that you may feel unsure or apprehensive—that’s completely natural. We’re here to guide and support you through the process. You don’t need to have everything figured out before beginning. It can be helpful to have a general sense of what’s bringing you in.
In your first session, we’ll talk about what led you to seek support, explain how therapy works, and begin setting goals at a pace that feels comfortable. You’re welcome to ask questions at any point—this is your space.
Most importantly, therapy is a judgment-free zone. You are free to express yourself openly and honestly. We’re here to hold space for you, support your journey, and help you navigate challenges—on your terms, at your pace.
Is there any specific therapy used to help clients to overcome their challenges?
At Darpana Wellness, we recognize that every individual brings a unique set of experiences, emotions, and perspectives. Because of this, we do NOT follow a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our therapeutic process is flexible and client-centered, meaning, we tailor our approach based on each person’s unique needs. We follow person-centered & humanistic approaches, we also draw from a variety of evidence based methods including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Positive psychological interventions (PPI) and other integrative practices that best support the client’s goals.
We are committed to understanding your concerns and will thoughtfully select or adapt interventions that best support your growth and healing.

How long does a session last?
Each session lasts about 45 – 60 minutes.
